Chris Kane has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a management consultant and health system executive. His broad healthcare consulting experience includes having served as the practice leader for strategy services for a national advisory company and as a principal at KPMG. A recent health system executive role was senior vice president responsible for strategic planning and business development at WellStar Health System.
While consistently focused on meeting clients' expectations for objective advice that is both creative and pragmatic, Chris currently advises our clients in the areas of strategy, physician-hospital partnerships, organizational design, and mergers/acquisitions/affiliations. He has assisted hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, and managed care organizations nationwide to improve market, financial, and organizational performance. Among his recent engagements was the refinement of the regional narrow provider network for a Fortune 500 employer.
Throughout his career, Chris has facilitated hundreds of strategic planning sessions and advised clients on Certificate of Need matters in more than 20 states. He has also published a variety of articles and speaks frequently on topics in strategic planning and physician-hospital integration in health care organizations. He has been a speaker at the national meetings of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Voluntary Hospitals of America, and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. He is a former chair of the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
Chris received his Master's in Business Administration from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
